Club Time Trials

Time trials are usually held on the 3rd Friday of each month except January. All time trials are held at the Ivanhoe Grammar School pool, commencing at 6.15pm and finishing at approximately 7.30pm. Any alternations to this schedule will be notified in the newsflyer, through e-mail and on the website. Time trials are open to both members and non-members of the club. No age limit applies. No swimmer may participate in more than three time trials, without becoming a member of the club. Parents are expected to attend and assist with timekeeping.

Aims of holding Time Trials

To give swimmers a chance to compete and improve times
To learn to compete under race conditions
To get to know other club members
To establish team/club spirit
To provide a forum to break Club Records

Member: $5.00 each or $ 8.00 per Family - raffle tickets also on sale
Non-Member: $5.00 each
Spectator: Free

Merit Awards

Trophies to the top ten place getters for most improved strokes and runners up and the Coaches' Award will be awarded at the Trophy Presentation day to be held in May each year.

Awards are based on:

1 point for each time trial swim
1 point for 0.01-0.99 seconds improvement on previous best time trial swim
2 points for 1.0-1.99 second improvement on previous best time trial swim
3 points for 2.00 or more seconds improvement on previous best time trial swim
