Nipper Squad

Part of the Learn To Swim Victoria Aquatic Development program

This squad does not fall under the Ivanhoe Neons umbrella but is a feeder squad to our club for swimmers who wish to compete in competitions once they become proficient.  Please note that membership fees apply when you are invited to join Ivanhoe Neons.

Requirements for inclusion

Students must be able to proficiently swim 200m of freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke and a short distance butterfly.

This squad gives swimmers an opportunity to sample training programs, without the commitment of joining the club.  Emphasis in this group is on stroking, building kicking strength and learning routines and drills.  In addition, tuition in race techniques, relay changeovers, and the rules of swimming are given. 

Nipper Squad members can attend any or all of the sessions offered by Learn To Swim Victoria. No bookings are required for a specific day or time.
