Target Squad

Part of the Ivanhoe Neons competitive club

At this level there is an introduction to quality to equip swimmers for competitive swimming. Target Squad swimmers are aiming to qualify for State Championships. Swimmers must be consistent with their training to maintain the level of intensity, fitness and progress expected of them.

Requirements for Inclusion

• Target Squad caters for both pool and gym sessions
• Must attend minimum of 5 pool sessions weekly as well as 1 gym and 1 yoga session per week
• Must attend all swim carnivals as per squad term information

Training Times & Locations

• Refer to website for training session times
• Training session times are also outlined as per flyer provided each term
• There will be no afternoon training on club Time Trial nights
• Training is held at the Ivanhoe Grammar Pool or the Greensborough Pool, as notified

Progression to National/Age squad

• Promotion to this squad is by invitation only.
