2008 Victorian Age/Open/SWD Championships - Timekeeping

Attn:  families of Ivanhoe Neons States Team,

As in previous years, we have been notified by Swimming Victoria that there is an expectation that clubs provide timekeepers for the 2008 State Championships. The number to be provided relates to the number of swimmers that each club has swimming. We have 25 swimmers with a total 125 entries between them. All families with swimmers competing at the championships will be expected to provide someone for timekeeping duties. It is not a difficult task and you are always sitting with someone who can show you what to do.

An Ivanhoe team roster will be put together over the next week. As we are aware that families have commitments over this time, please take this opportunity to nominate which day(s) and sessions you are able to cover. In preparing the roster I will do my best to accommodate requests made by families, but may need to allocate additional sessions. It will be assumed those not requesting specific dates have no particular preference and will be rostered accordingly when their children are swimming. If your child has several swims please be prepared to cover more than one session.

Please have your request including the dates and sessions (ie morning or evening sessions) to me by Sunday 16th Decemberby email mmnewts@iprimus.com.au. The roster will be finalised and distributed at time trials during the states T-Shirt presentation on the 21st December.

Once again, thank you for your understanding and support. I am sure that you realise this is not an easy task, but is just one way that we demonstrate our support of our kids and our club.
