Nunawading LC Meet 2007

Congratulations to all swimmers who competed in the Nunawading Long Course Meet at MSAC. Neons sent a team of over forty swimmers to compete in the day long carnival, with many looking at this meet as a final opportunity to secure State Qualifying Times for January.

While no medals were awarded at this meet, please take the time to view the results and see the significant number of top 10 places that went to Ivanhoe Neons.  Our swimmers did exceedingly well and we congratulate their efforts. 

Congratulations to Nicholas (Burt) O'Connor and Ashley Simons who also qualified for Nationals with their swims. Burt now adds the 100m Backstroke to his list of events for next April, whilst Ashley qualified in both the 100m and 200m Butterfly yesterday morning. Well done to both boys.

On the other end of the scale, we had a number of Junior Squad members compete in their first interclub competition. Congratulations to all those swimmers who made their competitive debut yesterday, with special mention to Tessa Traill, newcomer to Ivanhoe Neons who took top spot in many events.
