2008 Brighton 5km OWS Results

Congratulations to all Ivanhoe Neon Swimmers who attempted the 5km Open water time trial event held at Brighton. Michael Forno was the only Neon swimmer to finish the course in third place and achieving National Qualifying time. Overall it was a day of concern with many swimmers from all clubs retiring for the fear of allergic reaction to jellyfish sting. Alastair Cooper was hospitalized and is back in training together with, Jessie, Michael, Alex and Zoe who withdrew because of painful jellyfish sting.

If the time trial could have been held without incident our club swimmers were up there and National Qualifying Times was achievable. But all of you did the right thing by withdrawing form the swim. Well done.
